(a) the number of railway stations having only one platform under
Ijjat Nagar Division of North Eastern (NE) railways;
(b) whether it is proposed to increase the number of platforms on
such railway stations to avoid accidents; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): There are Fifty eight (58) Stations under Izzatnagar Division of
North Eastern Railway which have one platform only.
(b)& (c): Provision of additional platform at stations is made based
on traffic requirements including number of trains stopping at the
station and is not related to accidents. Work of construction of
second platform has accordingly been planned for 17 such
railway stations viz. Araul Makanpur, Khudaganj, Utaripura,
Samsabad, Rudain, Ganjdhundhavara, Axauli, Sikandra Rao, Rati
Ka Nagla, Hathras City, Musran, Sonai, Raya, Pipalsana,
Roshanpur, Aliganj and Gularbhojh.
