a) to g) : The projects funded by World Bank are at various stages of completion and, hence, no project can be termed as `lying incomplete`. Delays generally occur on account of fund flows related problems, lack of placement of key project staff or some specific issue related to a project. A statement detailing all the World Bank projects alongwith amount undisbursed as on 30.9.2000 is enclosed. Various steps taken by Government have helped in improving utilization from 14% in 1996 to 18% of unutilized opening balance in respective years by 1999. World Bank President and Government were of the similar view that utilization should be further improved. Government is taking various steps to deal with generic as well as project specific issues to expedite implementation of the projects and greater utilisation of funds.
