(a) Out of the mandated 300 clusters to be developed under Shyama Prasad MukherjiRurban Mission (SPMRM), 296 clusters have been identified and approved across 28 States and 8 Union Territories. The details of 296 Rurban clusters, State/UT-wise, is at Annexure-1.
(b) Of the identified 296 Rurban clusters, 288 Integrated Cluster Action Plans (ICAPs), which are the investment plan for each cluster, have been approved till date. 248 Detiled Project Reports (DPRs) have been approved by respective State Level Empowered Committees across the country.The physical and financial progress status of Rurban clusters selected for development during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise is

(c) Out of the total 20 clusters allocated to Maharashtra, Integrated Cluster Action Plan (ICAP) for 19 clusters have been approved by the Empowered Committee of the Ministry. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been approved for 19 clusters by the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC) .
Out of the total 19 clusters allocated to Madhya Pradesh, Integrated Cluster Action Plan (ICAP) for all 19 clusters have been approved by the Empowered Committee of the Ministry. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been approved for 18 clusters by the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC) .
Out of the total 15 clusters allocated to Jharkhand, Integrated Cluster Action Plans (ICAP) for all 15 clusters have been approved by the Empowered Committee of the Ministry. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have not yet been completely approved by the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC) for any cluster in Jharkhand. Partial DPRs have been approved for some clusters.
SPMRM clusters focus on interventions which can be broadly categorized as basic civic amenities , economic, social and digital amenities. Strengthening economic activities is one of the key priorities in cluster development. This is achieved through investment in skill development linked to economic activities, employment generation through promotion of Self Help Group (SHGs), agri-processing and tourism activities.
(d) There is no proposal under the current Mission period to take up more clusters as on date.
(e) Yes, Government has launched a mobile app Geo-Rurban, for Geo-tagging of the assets in rural areas created under SPMRM.
(f) Geo-Rurban app is a digital platform for registering works carried out under the Mission and will help in monitoring progress of works. The users can update the physical status of the works being executed on the ground in the clusters at regular intervals, with geo-tagged images.
