Question : CGHS Facilities in Kerala

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the number of beneficiaries of CGHS in the country, State/UT-wise;

(b) the State/UT-wise number of CGHS approved hospitals and dispensaries functioning in the country;

(c) whether the Government has received representation from Government of Kerala for the empanelment of more hospitals under CGHS scheme;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government in this regard; and

(e) whether the Government proposes to open new CGHS Dispensaries/Wellness Centres in Kerala, if so, the details thereof?

(b): Details are at Annexure-II and Annexure-III respectively.

(c) & (d): Nor. However, empanelment of private hospitals under CGHS is a continuous process. Interested hospitals voluntarily apply for empanelment under CGHS in CGHS covered cities. The eligible hospitals fulfilling the terms and conditions of empanelment are considered for empanelment under CGHS.

(e): Opening of new CGHS Wellness Centre has been approved at Kochi, Kannur and Kozhikode in Kerala.
