a) whether the Government will reconsider the existing policy of permitting fishing by huge foreign ships off the Indian Coast to help local fishermen;
b) if so, the details thereof;
c) whether the Government assessed the serious impact of foreign ships fishing within Indian territory and consequent unemployment of Indian fishermen , if so, the details thereof;
d) whether various fishermen associations raised objections in this regard; and
e) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken to redress their grievances?
