Question : CONSTRUCTION OF ROADS AND BRIDGES FROM CRF



(a) whether the Union Government has received proposals from the State Governments including North-Eastern States for the construction of roads and bridges from Central Road Fund (CRF) and Special Accelerated Road Development Programme in North-East (SARDP-NE);

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the proposals approved during the last three years and the current year, State-wise; and

(c) the details of the pending and rejected proposals along with the reasons therefor and the time by which the remaining proposals are likely to be cleared, State-wise?

(a) Yes, Madam.

(b) & (c) Approval of schemes under Central Road Fund (CRF) is a continuous process depending upon availability of funds and inter – se – priority. The proposals under CRF submitted by State Government which are not in accordance with CRF Rules are not considered. Details of proposals received & approved during the last three years and current year, State-wise under CRF and Special Accelerated Road Development Programme in North-East (SARDP-NE) is annexed.
