Question : Paediatrics TB Cases

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Paediatrics Tuberculosis (TB) cases in the country, State/UT-wise;

(b) whether there is a shortage of drug for Paediatrics Tuberculosis in India, if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and

(c) the measures taken by the Government to address the issue?

(a): The total number of Paediatric Tuberculosis cases registered in the country for the year 2013, 2014 and 2015 were 67663, 75514 and 75083 respectively. The State/UT-wise information is appended.
(b)&(c): There is no shortage of drugs for Paediatric Tuberculosis under Revised National TB Control Programme.
