(a) whether certain companies and programme producers owe dues to Akashvani and Doordarshan;
(b) if so, the amount of outstanding dues for payment to Doordarshan or Akashvani, company/producer-wise; and
(c) the efforts made/being made by the Government to recover the outstanding dues on an early basis?

(a) Prasar Bharati has informed that certain Companies/Producers do owe dues to Doordarshan. However, the information in case of All India Radio (AIR) is ‘Nil’ as no companies/producers are producing any programmes for All India Radio.
(b) The outstanding amount in respect of Doordarshan against advertising agencies and under Arbitration is given at Annexure-I & II respectively.
(c) Prasar Bharati/ Doordarshan are pursuing for recovery of outstanding dues. About 83 cases are pending in courts, arbitration and out of court settlement.
