(a) the details of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) in vogue at present, Ministry-wise;
(b) whether the Government proposes to restructure CSSs in the country on the basis of the
recommendations made by the B.K. Chaturvedi Committee;
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the action plan chalked out by the Government in this regard?

(a) The details of Centrally Sponsored Schemes as included in Statement of Budget Estimates
2012-13 of various central Ministries/Department are annexed.
(b) to (d) The Planning Commission had set up a Committee under the Chairmanship of Shri
B.K. Chaturvedi, Member, Planning Commission to look into the issue of restructuring of
the Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) to enhance its flexibility, scale and efficiency.
A note seeking the approval of Cabinet on the recommendations of the Committee is being
submitted.
