(a) whether many of the programmes produced by various Doordarshan kendras were not telecasted;
(b) if so, the details thereof and reasons therefor;
(c) the expenditure incurred on producing these programmes;
(d) whether the Government has initiated any action against those guilty officers who are responsible for not telecasting the programmes; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and if not the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): Yes, Madam. Prasar Bharati has informed that some programmes produced by DDK Srinagar during the period from 2009 to 2011 are still un–telecast. The details of such programmes are annexed. Prasar Bharati has further informed that no payment has been made for such programmes by Doordarshan so far.
The telecast of these programmes was stopped during 1st quarter of the year- 2011 by the then DDG (Prog.) at DDK Srinagar. Some facilities for production of these programs were out – sourced. Further more, in some cases the fee structure of Doordarshan was also not followed which was in violation of procedure for `In-house programmes’.
(d) & (e): Prasar Bharati has informed that DG, Doordarshan has been requested to make detailed assessment of programme so that fit ones can be telecast. Disciplinary proceedings against concerned officers have been initiated.
