(a) The details of 337 project proposals received so far to carry out research & developmental work w.r.t. each thematic area for Scientific Utilization Through Research Augmentation-Prime Products from Indigenous Cows (SUTRA-PIC India) is as follows:

(b) As the project proposals are still in the evaluation stage, no funds have been sanctioned/spent for the SUTRA-PIC program.
(c) The project proposals have been received from scientists/researchers/academicians from Research Institutions, Academics, S&T capable voluntary organizations (NGO’s) active in India to carry out R&D work, technology development linked to capacity building at local level within the mandate of above mentioned thematic areas. This coordinated program aims to work towards the convergence of the expertise, resources and funds to meet the common objective – Scientific research on prime products and its application in health, agriculture, nutrition etc. It provides a platform to take the research towards its logical conclusion with scientific validation and certification of Prime products from indigenous Cows.
(d) & (e) An open call for inviting project proposals was given in March, 2020 on DST’s website https://dst.gov.in/sites/default/files/SUTRA-%20PIC%20Format.pdf for wide publicity of the programme and reasonably good number of proposals have been received from reputed research institutions including IITs, CSIR Labs, ICAR Institutes, Academics and NGOs of the Country as mentioned in reply to part (a).
