(c) & (d): No, Madam. The Delhi Jal Board has informed that it supplies drinking water in NCT of Delhi from all available sources (Surface water and underground water) conforming to the standards laid down by the Ministry of Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation and also by the Bureau of Indian Standards elucidated in I:S 10500:2012. It conducts its own in-house test of the quality of treated water and ground water through plant laboratories round the clock and six zonal labs set up all over Delhi. As and when there is any complaint of quality contamination of water, the same is attended on priority basis. Sometimes, the cause of contamination is due to old service pipelines of residents. On an average, 43,083 water samples were lifted and tested during the period September, 2014 to November, 2014 and only 1.24% water samples were found unsatisfactory. Delhi Jal Board also provides treated /filtered water through its tankers to the consumers till the problem of contaminated water, if any, is resolved.
