(a) whether the Government has received any proposal to
increase the number of flights between Tiruchirapalli-Chennai;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has any proposal for introducing
new direct flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangaluru from
Tiruchirapalli; and
(d) if so, the details thereof along with the time by which
these flights are likely to be introduced.

(a), (b), (c) and (d): Air India`s subsidiary, Air India
Express currently links Tiruchirapalli with Chennai as a
part of the routing of their international services. While
it operates a daily flight from Chennai to Tiruchirapalli,
it operates a daily flight twice from Tiruchirapally to
Chennai.Air India do not have any plans to introduce any
new service out of Tiruchirapalli.
