(a) the steps taken/being taken to improve the institutional training imparted to the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets in schools and colleges;
(b) whether the number of institutions covered by NCC has increased to meet the increase in sanctioned strength;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) phase and wing-wise details of the new raisings since 2010 to meet the increase in sanctioned strength; and
(e) the State and wing-wise strength of National Cadet Corps during the last five years?

(a): Steps taken to improve the institutional training are as follows :
(i) 385 additional ANOs/Care taker Officers have been commissioned into NCC in 2018.
(ii) 575 and 130 vacancies per year have been increased for OTA Kamptee and OTA Gwalior respectively.
(iii) Performance Audit of all institutions having NCC every 3-4 years.
(b) & (c): Yes Sir. Details of increase in institutions vis-a-vis increase in cadets enrolled from 2014 to 2018 are given at Annexure I.
(d) : Details regarding phase/wing-wise details of the new raisings since 2010 are given at Annexure-II.
(e) Details regarding state and wing-wise strength of National Cadet Corps from 2015 to 2018 is given at Annexure-III.
