(a) whether National Highway No. 86 passes through Chhatarpur to Sagar in Madhya Pradesh;
(b) if so, the condition of 125 km stretch of the National Highway (NH) No. 86 falling between Chhatarpur and Sagar;
(c) whether National Highway No. 86 is in a very dilapidated condition with the result that it has converted into potholes;
(d) if so, the details thereof alongwith the steps taken by the Government for its repair; and
(e) the details of the funds provided for the purpose?

(a) Yes, Madam.
(b) to (d) The condition National Highway (NH) No. 86 is satisfactory except at some places including the portion between Chhatarpur and Sagar, where it is unsatisfactory. In the damaged portion immediate restoration work has been started to avoid disruption of traffic movement. Further efforts are being made to improve the condition of the road to make it traffic worthy. The development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs) is a continuous process and works are taken up subject to availability of funds and inter-se priority of works.
(e) The maintenance funds are not allocated work-wise.
