Question : ALLOTMENT OF ACCOMMODATION

(a) whether the process of allotment of quarters/accommodation is temporarily suspended and if so, the reasons therefor along with the time span of such suspension;

(b) whether some employees have been allotted accommodation during the said period;

(c) if so, the details of such employees, type of accommodation allotted, the reasons therefor and the action taken/being taken by the Government if the allotment is illegal;

(d) whether the accommodation status website of the Directorate of Estates is not working properly;

(e) if so, the details thereof along with the time since when it is not working and the reasons therefor; and

(f) the action taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

THE MINISTER OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT (SHRI M. VENKAIAH NAIDU)

(a): No, Madam. Only, the general allotment of Type-I & II quarters are temporarily withheld since August, 2012. The government housing locality of Kidwai Nagar East is under redevelopment. The Directorate of Estates is allotting alternate accommodation to the affected allottees of Kidwai Nagar East so that the area is vacated early and handed over to National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) for redevelopment work.

(b): Yes, Madam. The discretionary/out of turn allotment on functional, medical, security grounds etc. were made during this period. Allotment on unsafe grounds to houses declared dangerous by CPWD were also made during the period.

(c): The details are at Annexure-I.

(d): No, Madam. The website is working properly.

(e) & (f): Do not arise.
