(a) Whether informal trade between India and Pakistan has reduced;
(b) If so, the extent thereof;
(c) Whether a trade delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FPCCI) has also put off its visit to India which was earlier scheduled to be held at the end of July, 2006;
(d) If so, the reasons therefor;
(e) Whether any next date has been fixed; and
(f) If so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) There are no accepted estimates of informal trade between India and
Pakistan and therefore it cannot be said that informal trade between the two
countries has declined.
(c) Yes Sir. A trade delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers
of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) was scheduled to visit India on invitation
of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) from
31 July – 4 August 2006 but has postponed its visit.
(d) The FPCCI has informed FICCI that the visit was being postponed due
to some unavoidable circumstances.
(e) No Sir.
