Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION
be pleased to state:-
(a) whether any data on the gender of the graduates from various training schools is available under the Ministry of Civil Aviation if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether any step being taken to encourage genders other than women to enroll in this set up, if so, the details thereof; and
(c) whether any funds has been disbursed for the same so far and if so, the details thereof?

(a) Yes Sir. Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) and Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) are under administrative control of this Ministry. The gender break-up of students currently enrolled at these institutions is as under:;

(b) & (c) Eligible students of all genders can apply to IGRUA and RGNAU. The selection process is purely merit-based, irrespective of gender. Female students at RGNAU are eligible for a 10% discount in the tuition fee. No funds have been disbursed by this Ministry, so far, to any student directly.
