(a) to(c): The Ministry had received proposals from 21 State Governments amounting to Rs. 258.86 crores towards reimbursement of pay and allowances of NDS Instructors (NDSI) for the period so long as they remained in service. As per the terms of transfer of NDSIs, the Central Government will meet the expenditure on the pay and allowances of those NDSIs who were absorbed in the State Government services. In view of this, reimbursement claims of the State Government/UT Administrations are assessed only upto the date of retirement of the last NDSI. During the current financial year, the following grants have been released to various States:
