LOK SABHA.
(a)&(b): According to advance estimates for 1999-2000, the yield rate of
wheat in India is likely to be 2.7 tonnes per hectare as against 2.9 tonnes per
hectare in the United States of America as per FAO Year Book 1998 (Vol.52).
(c) to (e): The State-wise yield rates of wheat as also at all-India level during
last four years is given in the Annexure. It may be seen that yield rates vary from
State to State.
