(a) whether the Government has reviewed the proposal regarding eviction of Kendriya Bhandar from
Government accommodation and forwarded the same to the Cabinet Committee on Accommodation; and
(b) if so, the details thereof, and the present status of the same along with the reaction of
the Ministry of Urban Development on the matter?

(a) &(b) Yes, Madam. In the month of December 2013, the Cabinet Committee on Accommodation
(CCA) considered the note circulated by Department of Personnel and Training finalized after
due consultation with Ministry of Urban Development and other concerned Ministries/Departments
for review of its earlier decision of 2005 and approved the following:
(i) Kendriya Bhandar be allowed to retain the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) and
General Pool Office Accommodation (GPOA) allotted to it for a further period of six months from
20.12.2013 on existing terms and conditions; and
(ii) In the interregnum, the Department of Personnel and Training may, after consultation with
all Ministries/Departments concerned, bring an alternative proposal for consideration of the
Committee for providing accommodation/built-up space for office and retail stores of Kendriya
Bhandar.
