(a) Presently there are 5 Nuclear Power Stations (comprising of 2 units at each stations) with a total installed capacity of 1840 MWe in commercial operation in the country.

(b) the details of Atomic Power Stations set up during the last 3 years are as under :

Year	Station	Capacity	1999	Kaiga Atomic Power Station - Unit-2	220 MWe	2000	Rajasthan Atomic Power Station - Unit-3	220 MWe
Achieved criticality on 24.9.1999 and synchronised to the grid on 2.12.99. Achieved criticality on 24.12.1999.

(c) The amount spent towards maintenance of these stations during the last 3 years are as follows (in crores)
