THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTS(SHRI NAMO NARAIN MEENA)
(a) to (c) A revised project proposal with an estimated cost of Rs. 150 crore has been received
from the Government of Rajasthan for “Environmental Improvement Plan of River Chambal at Kota†to
be taken up under the National River Conservation Plan on 70:30 cost sharing basis between the
Central and the State Governments. The Planning Commission has been requested by the Ministry to
give their ‘in-principle’ approval for the project.
