(a) the date on which Guna-Etawah rail line project was
approved by the Government and the period of completion of
the said project;
(b) whether the said project has been completed;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor;
(d) the length of line in kilometre that has been
constructed so far and the time by which the construction of
remaining line is likely to be completed; and
(e) the funds earmarked for the said project during the current financial year?

ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 28.07.2005 REGARDING GUNA-ETAWAH
RAIL LINE PROJECT.
(a) to (d): The work of construction of new broad gauge
rail line between Guna and Etawah (344 kms.) was included
in the Budget 1985-86. Guna to Bhind (306 kms.) has
since been completed and opened to traffic in the following
three phases:-
