Question : WASTE HEAT RECOVERY POWER PLANT IN ORISSA



(a) whether a waste heat recovery power plant is being set up by Orissa Sponge Iron limited;

(b) if so, whether the above plant is funded by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA);

(c) if so, the total fund provided by IREDA; and

(d) the time by which the said plant is likely to be commissioned?

(a),(b),(c)&(d): Yes, Sir. Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has sanctioned a waste heat recovery power plant of 10 MW capacity with a loan amount of Rs.27.15 crores to M/s Orissa Sponge Iron Limited and disbursed Rs.26.97 crores. The plant is scheduled to be commissioned by December 2000.
