Question : DELAY IN COMMENCEMENT OF TELEPHONE EXCHANGE

(a). whether the telephone exchange building constructed at Mominpet village of Ranga Reddy district in Andhra Pradesh has since been completed;

(b). if so, whether the telephone exchange installed there has since start functioning

(c). if not , the reasons therefor;

(d) the time by which the said exchange is likely to be started; and

(e) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) Yes Sir,

(b) A 1000 Line RBM Exchange is yet to be installed in the new Telephone Exchange building.

(c) A 1000 Line RBM Exchange is planned during 2001-02 and likely to be completed by March, 2002.

(d) By March, 2002.

(e) As given above.
