(a) whether the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has any proposal to launch special course for Agniveers;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which the above proposal is likely to be implemented and the extent to which the special courses would help in improving the academic and employment career of the Agniveers?

(a) to (c): As per Agnipath scheme, a system would be put in place to give Agniveers who have been enrolled after qualifying class ‘X’, a certificate for 10+2 (equivalent) on completion of their 4 year period.
Agniveers who have passed Secondary level (Class X) can enroll with National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for their Senior Secondary level (Classs XII), which will not only enhance their academic competence but also lead to skill development and entrepreneurship.
