(a) the details of investment made on the Human Resource Development projects in Maharashtra, project-wise;

THE MINISTER OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT ( DR. MURLI MANOHAR JOSHI )

(a): An amount of Rs. 5627.13 lakhs was released to the State of Maharashtra during 1999-2000 under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes of the Ministry in the field of education. The Scheme-wise details are annexed.

(b): At present, 615 technical institutes are functioning in the State.

(c): Most of the Central Schemes/Programmes in the field of Human Resource Development are well known throughout the country including the State of Maharashtra. State Governments are also requested from time to time to give these schemes wide publicity.
