(a) whether the attention of the Government has been drawn towards cases of non-issuance of visa by China to Indians born in Jammu and Kashmir as reported in the media;
(b) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto; and
(c) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c) Government has seen media reports making suggestions to this effect. India’s
consistent position that there should be no discrimination against visa applicants of Indian
nationality on grounds of domicile and ethnicity has been clearly conveyed to the Chinese
Government.
