(a) & (b): As on date, there is no proposal to create more
battalions for the Central Para-military Forces to deal with the
law and order situation in the country. However, Government of
India has in recent years issued sanctions for raising of
battalions in Central Para-military Forces, as per details
given below:-

(c) & (d): Forces are not facing shortage of Personnel/Staff due to
large scale retirement from services. However, regular vacancies due to
normal wastage like superannuation, voluntary retirement, etc. are
filled through promotion and direct recruitment from time to time.
