(a) the status of request of the Government of Andhra Pradesh
for providing Rs.12.54 crore for introduction of computer
education in the Government schools in the State at the rate of
one high school in each mandal; and
(b) the impact of earlier CLASS project introduced in
coordination with the CMC in the State as assessed by the Union
Government ?

(a) A request was received from the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh for
introducing computer education in schools. However, no new grant
is being released under the existing scheme of Computer Literacy
and Studies in Schools (CLASS) as the scheme has been
discontinued.
(b) No formal evaluation of the scheme has been made by any
outside agency.
