Question : SURVEY FOR NEW LINES

(a) whether the Railways have conducted any survey for laying of new railway tracks on Shegaon-Khamgaon- Jalana section;

(b) if so, the details and the present status thereof; and

(c) the time by which the work on the said project is likely to be completed?

(a): Yes, Madam.

(b) & (c): An updating survey for construction of a new line from Jalna-Khamgaon-Shegaon (155 km) has been taken up. Survey is targeted for completion by 31.08.2011.
