MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS ( SHRI CH.VIDYASAGAR RAO)

(a) & (b): The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi had made a request to the Central Bureau of Investigation to take up the investigation in the matter but the Bureau found that the relevant FIR was registered under the Excise Act which was outside its purview. The Bureau, therefore, did not consider it feasible to take up investigation in the matter and informed the Government of N.C.T. of Delhi accordingly.
