Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the drinking water projects taken up since 2019 till date in the State of Maharashtra,
district-wise; and
(b) the details of total fund allocation made and the quantum of fund utilized under various schemes in the State?

(a) Drinking water being a State subject, it is the States, including Maharashtra, who plan, design, approve and implement drinking water supply schemes. Government of India supplements the efforts of the States by providing technical and financial assistance. As such details of individual projects/ schemes for rural water supply projects are not maintained at the Government of India level.
Since August 2019, Government of India in partnership with States, is implementing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) – Har Ghar Jal to make provision of tap water supply to every rural household of the country including those of Maharashtra, by 2024. At the time of announcement of Jal Jeevan Mission, in Maharashtra 48.44 lakh (33%) rural households were reported to have tap water connections. Since then, tap water connections have been provided to additional 54.19 lakh (37.37%) rural households. As on 25.07.2022, out of total 144.93 lakh rural households in Maharashtra, provision of tap water supply has been made to 102.63 lakh (70.82%) households.
(b) The year-wise details of funds allocated, released and utilized by Maharashtra under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 are as under:
