(a) whether the Government has taken any measures to build basic sports infrastructure in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the funds allocated, released and utilized in this regard and the basic sports infrastructure created during the last three years and the current year?

(a) & (b) Sports being a State subject the responsibility for building basic sports infrastructure rests with the State Governments. The Central Government has provided sports infrastructure and training facilities at Sports Authority of India’s (SAI’s) training centres as per Annexure-I. In addition, this Ministry has invested Rs. 12.87 crore for sports infrastructure facilities in Shivchhatrapati Kridapeeth Sports Complex, Pune, during the year 2018-19.
