Question : Setting up of MSMEs

(a) the details of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and number of persons employed therein in various states including Uttar Pradesh during each of the last three years and the current year;

(b) the number of the proposals received and sanctioned during the said period and the financial assistance provided to them;

(c) the number of proposals pending for approval of the Government and the reasons for their pendency;

(d) the steps taken by the Government to grant immediate approval to the pending projects;

(e) the details and the number of vacancies lying vacant in each unit at present; and

(f) the steps taken/being taken to fill those vacancies?

(a): As per the National Sample Survey (NSS) 73rd Round Report conducted by National Sample Survey Office, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation during the period 2015-16, the estimated number of workers in unincorporated non-agriculture MSMEs in the country were 11.10 crores and in respect of Uttar Pradesh the number was 1.65 crore. The State-wise details of number of workers are given in Annexure-I.

(b)to(f): The details of financial assistance provided and employment generated under Prime Minister''s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises during 2015-16 to 2017-18 are given below:
