(a) to (c) : The rehabilitation and resettlement of persons affected by the construction
of Tehri HEP Stage-I (1000 MW) is being undertaken in two phases. While Phase-I
relates to families affected by the construction of Coffer Dam, Phase-II covers the
families affected by the construction of the Main Dam and the impoundment of reservoir.
The activities relating to Rehabilitation and Resettlement would be completed pari-passu
with the completion of Tehri HEP. Details regarding progress of rehabilitation of urban
and rural project affected families are given in Annex.
(d) : Against the provision of Rs.862.57 Crores (at August, 1999 price level)
for rehabilitation relating to Tehri Project Stage-I, an expenditure of about Rs.600 Crores
has been incurred so far. There has been no constraints of funds for rehabilitation works.
