Question : TRAINS FROM JAMNAGAR, PORBANDAR, GUJARAT

(a) the names of the trains running from Jamnagar, Porbandar, Rajkot and Bhavnagar of Gujarat at present;

(a) the reservation quota allotted in first and second class coaches in these trains at each of these stations;

(b) whether Members of Parliament, Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Railway Passengers’ Association and other associations have demanded in increase in the reservation quota;

(c) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government thereon;

(d) whether the Railways propose to increase the reservation quota in these trains during 2003; and

(f) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (f): Requests are received from time to time from various sources for allotment/enhancement of reservation quota. Periodical reviews of the quota are conducted from time to time and adjustments in reservation quotas at various stations are made, if found justified and feasible.
