Question : SUBMISSION OF PROJECTS BY WEST BENGAL



(a) whether the Public Works Department of Government of West Bengal submitted a set of proposals on four projects, seeking full financial support from the Central government;

(b) if so, whether the new Rs.1,000 crore road net work project is meant to link the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport to Haldia Port;

(c) whether this network project Will work as a part of National Highway Development Programme aiming at better road connectivity with major ports of the country;

(d) if so, whether the other projects include a new 82.4 km link road between NH-34 and Kolkata Port, Rehabilitation and widening of a 52.7 km stretch of NH-41 to four line and a new 59 km Uluberia-Haldia express way; and

(e) if so, the progress made so far for release of funds for the projects?
