(a) the number of warehouses being operated by Central Warehousing Corporation at various places in the country indicating the storage capacity of these warehouses, State-wise;
(b) the number of such warehouses set up in Gujarat and whether all these warehouses are equipped with modern techniques;
(c) if not, whether the Government proposes to modernise these warehouses; and
(d) the total turnover in rupees earned by the Central Warehousing Corporation during the last three years?

(a): As on 31.03.2016 Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) was operating 448 warehouses (both owned and hired) with a storage capacity of 1,08,22,496 MT at various places in the country, the State-wise details of which may be seen in Annexure-I.
(b): CWC is operating total 29 warehouses in the State of Gujarat. Out of these, 19 godowns of capacity 3.64 lakh MT are owned by CWC and all these warehouses have been scientifically constructed with prevailing modern techniques. All the warehouses are also equipped with laboratory facilities for testing of stocks.
(c): Does not arise.
(d): Total turnover of CWC for past three years is as under:-
