(a) the steps being taken by the Government to compensate the farmers in Andhra Pradesh for loss in yield and damage to crops due to cyclone Titli in the State;
(b) whether the Government has extended any financial package to farmers affected by the cyclone in Andhra Pradesh, if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b): On receipt of Memorandum from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh in the wake of cyclone ‘Titli’ of 2018, an Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) was deputed for on the spot assessment of damage. Based on the report of IMCT, the High Level Committee (HLC), in its meeting held on 06.12.2018 approved financial assistance of Rs. 539.52 crore from National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF), as per prescribed norms and scale. The financial assistance approved by the HLC is inclusive of Rs. 151.91 Crore approved towards agriculture/horticulture input subsidy. In addition, Rs. 458.10 crore was released by the Government of India to Government of Andhra Pradesh as Central share of SDRF for management of relief necessitated by natural disasters during 2018.
