(a), (b) & (c) The Government had approved a scheme for modernisation of India Government Mints (IGMs) at Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad during 1989
at a total cost of Rs.118.28 crores. This scheme was further revised in
1994 with increase in cost estimates from Rs.118.28 crores to Rs.301.82
crores. The mint-wise break-up of approved revised cost was as under :

(d) The modernisation of the mints was completed during June,2001.
