MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI MANOJ SINHA)

(a) to (d): Chhotaudepur-Dhar (157 km.) new line project has been taken up at an anticipated cost of ` 1347 crore (2011-12 price level). An expenditure of ` 186 crore has been incurred upto March, 2015, and an outlay of ` 40 crore provided in the Budget 2015-16. Due to huge throwfoward of ongoing new line projects and limited overall availability of funds, this project has been taken up in phases. In phase-I, Chhotaudepur-Alirajpur section (50 Km) has been taken up where land acquisition for 47 Km length has been completed, and earthwork & bridges works have been taken up in this section. Some problems have been faced in land acquisition due to agitation of land owners in a portion of the alignment. No time frame has been fixed for completion of the project.
