(a) the number of military and sainik schools in the country as on date, State/UT-wise;
(b) whether the sainik schools in different States have produced some of the best officers in the Indian Armed Forces and eminent personalities in almost all walks of life and if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to set up more such sainik schools in the country and if so, the details thereof, State/UT and location-wise;
(d) if not, whether the Government proposes to set up a Committee for this purpose;
(e) whether the Government is satisfied with the performance/standard of education of the said sainik schools and if so, the details thereof;
(f) if not, the remedial measures taken/being taken by the Government to maintain high standard of education in these schools; and
(g) whether there is any proposal to increase the budget allocation to all the existing sainik schools through the Sainik School Society, Ministry of Defence and if so, the details thereof?
