Question : Comprehensive Treatment under AYUSH

(a) whether there is a facility of comprehensive and complete treatment under AYUSH and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether there is a proposal to open Integrated AYUSH Hospitals at all district centers of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan including Latur, Jalore Sirohi and Madha parliamentary constituency to meet the health needs of a large number of citizens and if so, the current status thereof;
(c) whether any proposal has been received from the said States in this regard and if so, the details thereof;
(d) the details of the total amount allocated therefor during the last three years and the current year, State-wise; and
(e) the steps taken by the Government to establish a 100-bed Naturopathy Hospital by conducting a survey at the Latur, Satara, Solapur, Jalore and Sirohi district centres?

(a) to (d): As Public Health is a State subject, the primary responsibility to provide a facility of comprehensive and complete treatment under AYUSH comes under the purview of respective State/UT Governments including all the districts centres of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. However, under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of the National AYUSH Mission (NAM), there is provision of financial assistance for setting up of 50/30/10 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital. The State/UT Governments including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan may avail financial assistance for setting up of 50/30/10 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital by submitting suitable proposal through State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) as per the provision of NAM guidelines. Further, Under NAM, 04 Integrated Ayush Hospitals in Maharashtra at Nandurbar, Sindhudurg, Pune & Ahmed Nagar; 08 Integrated Ayush Hospitals in Chhattisgarh at Jangir Champa, Mahasamund, Koria, Korba, Kanker, Narayanpur, Bijapur, Dantewada and 02 Integrated Ayush Hospitals in Rajasthan at Jaipur & Sikar have been approved as per the proposals received from State Government of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan respectively through SAAP during the last three years and the current year till date.
Under NAM, an amount of Rs. 42.30 Crore have been approved to said States for setting up of upto 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospitals during the last three years and the current year as per the proposal received in their State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs). Statewise details of the total amount allocated for setting up of upto 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospitals during the last three years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 & current year (2021-22) is furnished as Annexure.

(e) Ministry of Ayush has no such proposal to setup a 100-bed Naturopathy Hospital by conducting a survey at the Latur, Satara, Solapur, Jalore and Sirohi district centres.
