Question : Construction of IHHLs and PTs

(a) the details of the funds allocated, released and utilised for construction of Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) and Public Toilets (PTs), waste management and capacity building in urban areas since 2014, State-wise;

(b) the details of funds allocated, released and utilised for Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and public awareness under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), State-wise;

(c) whether the Government has conducted any survey to assess the demand for public toilets and if so, the details thereof, State-wise;

(d) the details of IHHL and CT/PT constructed under Swachh Bharat Mission, State-wise; and

(e) whether the details of projects/activities and funds released from Swachh Bharat Kosh are not maintained by the Ministry and if so, the reasons therefor?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 267 FOR 12.03.2020 REGARDING “CONSTRUCTION OF IHHLs AND PTs”.
(a) and (b) : State/ UT-wise details of funds allocated, released, and utilized for Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) and Community/ Public Toilets (CT/PTs), Waste Management(Solid Waste Management), Capacity Building and Information Education Communication (IEC) & Pubic Awareness (PA) under Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U) is at Annexure-I.

(c) : The demand for public toilets is assessed by the concerned State Government/Union Territory.

(d) : State/ UT-wise details of Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) and Community/ Public Toilets (CT/PTs) constructed in urban areas of the country is at Annexure-II and III.

(e) : Swachh Bharat Kosh is administered by Ministry of Finance and not by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
