Question : FOUR LANING OF NH-7

(a) whether NH-7 road between Salem (Tamil Nadu) and Bangalore goes via Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu;

(b) whether the four laning of the road is yet to start;

(c) whether the Four-lane road would be laid through the town;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) whether a new by-pass road is planned to be constructed;

(f) if so, the details thereof; and (g) if not, by when the survey for new road laying would be conducted?

(b) No, Sir. Four laning work in Bangalore- Salem section of NH 7 has started.

(c) to (g) It is premature to indicate any such details as consultant for preparation of Detailed Project Report is yet to be appointed.
