(a) the details of Bal Bhawans presently located in the country, State-wise;
(b) whether there is any proposal to construct more Bal Bhawans for the benefit of the children in the country including backward and rural areas;
(c) if so, the details thereof, State-wise and location-wise; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The State-wise number of Bal Bhavans in the country affiliated with
National Bal Bhavan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource
Development, is given in Annexure.
(b) to (d) There is no such proposal under consideration of the Government.
However, for the purpose of expansion of network of Bal Bhavans in India, National
Bal Bhavan grants affiliation to those Bal Bhavans who fulfill the prescribed
eligibility criteria and affiliation norms.
