Question : Production from Hydrocarbon Blocks

(a) the details of the production and income generated from 36 hydrocarbon, methane extraction sites in Tamil Nadu during the last three years and the current year along with the royalty amount paid to Government of Tamil Nadu during the said period;
(b) the steps taken by the Government to stop the hydrocarbon project at Neduvasal in Pudukkottai District of Tamil Nadu;
(c) the list of places where hydrocarbon extraction/fractioning is being done at present; and
(d) the details of production from each of the wells along with the income generated from each hydrocarbon site and the royalty paid to the respective States during the said period, State/UT/;year-wise?

(b): Some local people/organizations have submitted representations and also filed 2 petitions in National Green Tribunal (NGT). Southern Zone, Chennai objecting to the award of some discovered small fields expressing apprehension regarding possible environmental impact. No E&P activity is going on there.
(c) & (d): Presently extraction of oil and gas (including CBM) is being done in 10 states and 2 Offshore Areas (Eastern and Western Offshore). State/year-wise Oil & Gas Production, Income generated and Royalty Paid for last 3 years is at Annexure-I, II and III respectively.
