(a) & (b): Airports Authority of India (AAI), the Implementing Agency of UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), has identified 9 (Nine) Airports in Karnataka under the Scheme for operations of the flights. Out of these 9 identified airports, 6 airports, namely, Belgaum, Bidar, Hubli, Kalaburgi, Mysore and Vidyanagar have been operationalized for UDAN flights. The number of aircraft movement (arrival & departure) per week from Belgaum, Hubli, Kalaburgi and Mysore is 118, 66, 42 & 70 respectively. As on 04.02.2022, the air operation from Bidar and Vidyanagar are suspended. ;
(c): UDAN has transformed the way people travel in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities of the country. Regional airports like Jharsuguda, Kishangarh, Belgaum, Hubli, Darbhanga, etc. have been witnessing exponential growth in air traffic. Approximately 87 lakh passengers have travelled on UDAN flights since its commencement on 26.10.2016 till 16.01.2022.;;
(d): An airport which is included in the awarded routes of UDAN and requires upgradation/development for commencement of RCS operations is developed under "Revival of unserved and underserved airports" scheme. An expenditure of INR 2307 crore has so far been incurred on revival / up-gradation of RCS airports as on 30.11.2021.;
(e): Presently, there is no such proposal under consideration.
